David Goins leaves WFAA


David Goins, a WFAA 8 Dallas - Fort Worth reporter, announced he is leaving the TEGNA station after six years.


The Edward R. Murrow award-winning reporter covered stories in Dallas with an emphasis on federal courts, public education and transportation.

Prior to DFW, Goins reported for a decade at KARK and FOX 16 KLRT Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Texas State University-San Marcos grad also worked as a reporter for KSPR Springfield, Missouri and as an anchor/reporter for KODE Joplin, Missouri.

Goins grew up in Houston.

David Goins has signed on as a freelance reporter for KXAS NBC 5 in DFW.

Goins left WFAA 8 earlier this year where he had worked for six years.


Prior to North Texas television, the Edward R. Murrow award-winning reporter worked for:

- KSPR Springfield, Missouri

- KODE Joplin, Missouri


The Texas State University-San Marcos graduate grew up in Houston.
