Dominique Newland joins KVUE Austin as the weekend morning anchor in late November 2021.
Newland will anchor alongside meteorologist Shane Hinton. She is taking the anchor chair vacated by Hannah Rucker who moved to the weekday "Dayside" morning news.

"So excited and blessed to announce I’ve accepted an anchor/MSJ position with @kvuenews catch me weekend mornings on the desk later this month!

Newland joined KYMA 11 and 13 (a dual CBS/NBC affiliate) in Yuma, Arizona back in June 2019.
Growing up in Carmel, Indiana, Newland graduated from Indiana University Bloomington. While in school she interned with the CBS The Late Late Show with James Corden, WISH and WTHR (both television stations are located in Indianapolis).
As a student, Newland also anchor and reported for Indiana University Student Television (IUSTV) and served as a special affairs chair for the local chapter of The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).
