Irene Cruz joined ABC7 KABC Los Angeles in June 2022. In November 2022, Cruz was promoted to weekend morning anchor.
Cruz left her News 4 San Antonio WOAI evening anchor position co-anchoring with Randy Beamer in November 2020. Simone De Alba currently holds that seat with Jonathan Martinez after Randy Beamer retired.
It's back to California for Cruz who previously worked for ABC10 KXTV Sacramento as an anchor/reporter and is a University of California, Irvine grad.
