Jonathan Novack is joining CW39 Houston KIAH as chief meteorologist from FOX 11 Los Angeles KTTV according to a promo that aired on the station.
UPDATE
Jonthan Novack talks to Mike McGuff about return to Houston and more
He apparently starts next week.
Novack will be a familiar face to KPRC 2 viewers as he was the weekend evening meteorologist from 2007 to 2010 before leaving to appear on ABC's The Bachelorette and The Bachelor Pad. I've been covering him for a long time now!
Consider this a Houston - LA flip since former CW39 chief met Adam Krueger, who just joined FOX 11 as chief and evening meteorologist, works the same shift Novack has been on as a freelancer since May 2023.
Also, Novack will be the first hire to replenish an empty CW39 weather department after Krueger, Carrigan Chauvin, and Idolina Peralez all left. However, Peralez returned to help out since someone needed to be there to do the weather.
Since leaving Houston, Novack has spent much time in Southern California. Before FOX LA, he worked as a "Court Report" host for the Tennis Channel. He also worked for ABC7 Los Angeles KABC as a meteorologist and correspondent for the ABC syndicated show, "On The Red Carpet."
Before KPRC 2, Novack worked as a meteorologist for WSVN 7 News Miami.
The Syracuse University and Mississippi State University’s Broadcast Meteorology Program graduate started in the TV business with KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock.
