Carrigan Chauvin is leaving CW39 KIAH Houston, where she is a morning meteorologist and traffic anchor, for Nexstar Media Group sister station WGNO New Orleans.

In a video she released on Instagram (WATCH BELOW), Chauvin reveals to her family that she will be on WGNO mornings.
Chauvin debuted on CW39 on Christmas Eve morning 2020 after working for KJRH 2 Tulsa, Oklahoma. Before that, she worked for WTOK 11 Meridian, MS.
WGNO is a homecoming for the meteorologist who was born and raised in Chauvin, Louisiana. Yes, you got that right—Chauvin was born in Chauvin!
Last year, I asked Chauvin what it was like working both weather and traffic for the station.
"Believe it or not since I have taken on this new gig of traffic anchor and meteorology, my stress levels have gone down significantly," she told me in 2023. "I think it a mix of gaining experience on how to juggle and having a great support system at CW39."
