UPDATE MARCH 2024
Shannon Murray gives birth
Stella, who will be born in March 2024, has a hole between the left and right side of her heart and is missing her pulmonary valve, the station reported.
Murray explained more on Facebook:
"She will need immediate intervention to save her life, and eventually an open heart surgery to repair her heart. It may be the first of several open heart surgeries in her lifetime.
We’ve spent the last several months processing this news, meeting with our medical team and preparing for Stella’s delivery. There are still some unknowns, but I am thankful we’ve had time to wrap our heads around this and do as much research as possible. We are as ready as we can be and we are so excited to meet our baby girl."
Murray announced that she was pregnant in September 2023.
She and her husband Chris were married in April of last year.
The longtime FOX 4 reporter was promoted to morning anchor with Hanna Battah in December 2022.
