Tessa Barrera, co-host of "The Rod Ryan Show" on 94.5 The Buzz KTBZ, headed back to TV this week to guest co-host KPRC 2 afternoon lifestyle show "Houston Life" with Derrick Shore.

Tessa Barrera joins Houston Life
Since Courtney Zavala left "Houston Life" in early 2023, the show has been having familiar TV and radio guest co-hosts such as Roseann Rogers, Stephanie Gilbert, Sarah Pepper and Katherine Whaley.
"The most delicious part of the show was when Carl Walker, Brennan’s of Houston GM and former Executive Chef, taught us how to make CRAWFISH BOIL POTATO SALAD," Barrera wrote on The Buzz website.
Barrera joined The Buzz from IHeartMedia sister-station KFI AM 640 Los Angeles in 2019 where she was a news anchor and executive producer.
Before that, she worked for KRIS 6 - KZTV Action 10 News Corpus Christi as a TV reporter and sportscaster. There she covered many current Houston Astros players when they played for the Minor League Baseball team the Corpus Christi Hooks (owned by Astros).
In 2014, Barrera competed in Steve Austin’s reality competition show "Broken Skull Challenge" which aired on CMT.
