"It’s official! I’m honored to anchor the 4pm show everyday on @kprc2 in Houston," posted Burns.  "Grateful to share the desk with @kprc2lisa [Lisa Hernandez]!"

"Honored to share the desk with you, Candace," Hernandez posted.

She is taking the role left vacant by Christine Noël and interim anchor Brandon Walker.

Burns just joined KPRC 2 in March 2023.  She said she came to Houston for husband and professional basketball player, Karon Bradley, from her 6pm and 11pm evening anchor position for WTVR CBS 6 Richmond, Virginia.

"My husband is a Houstonian through and through," Burns told KPRC2+ 8am digital anchor Zach Lashway.  "Like, I've never met anyone who loves their hometown as much as him. So I'm here now with him, and I'm so happy."

The Wichita State University grad also anchored for DCW50 WDCW's News at 10PM and ABC12 WJRT Flint, Michigan.
