Wait, was that abc13 KTRK anchors Tom Koch and Melanie Lawson today on syndicated game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire hosted by Chris Harrison today?
I don't need a lifeline for this one because the answer is yes!
Besides helping people win money, these two longtime Houston anchors actually started at channel 13 on the same day back in 1982.
"Melanie Lawson and I have been close friends ever since," Koch posted on Facebook back in 2017. "It's been an honor to work with such a great journalist and to work at this incredible TV station. Thank you to all our viewers who've supported us for so many years. I hope we have served you well."
Though they started on the same day, Koch claims to have seniority by two hours because they called him in early on their first day for breaking news!
I'll take "Legendary Houston television journalists" for $500 Alex...wait...wrong show!
