Every couple of years, we get really excited about Houston TV news baby booms.
And this year, abc13 KTRK seems to be leading the pack (insert obligatory joke about what's in the water at channel 13 here).
As some of its reporters mentioned on social, it's a good thing, because a new report from the CDC says Americans aren't having enough children to sustain the population. It's a 30-year low. Same goes for China and Japan. (I get constantly criticized for these baby announcement/birth posts, but see you might have just learned something about the world from this one.)
So watch out for new arrivals from Samica Knight, Erica Simon and just announced Katherine Whaley! Congrats to all.
In fact, Simon just penned a letter to her unborn child.
