A few weeks ago, Telemundo 60 KVDA San Antonio sports anchor Luis Ortiz signed off the TV airwaves of the Alamo City.

Luis Ortiz joins KHOU 11 Houston
"Thank you everyone for a great 2 years here," Ortiz wrote on Instagram. "Met some great people and had a lot of fun covering local sports in the Alamo city. Now on to the next challenge #tvlife."
Now, he is Telemundo Houston KTMD's newest sports anchor, along with Ubaldo Martinez.
Prior to San Antonio, Ortiz worked as a bilingual sports reporter and anchor for Univision 48 KNVO and Fox 2 KFXV from 2013 to 2016.
The Lone Star EMMY award winner earned his bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Houston.
