Weekend anchor/reporter Faith Woodard announces she's left WBOC 16 Salisbury, Md, "Delmarva's News Leader," and moving to Texas join KVEO Brownsville-Rio Grande Valley as a weekday evening anchor.
"God is good, I’m blessed and ready to hit the ground running," Woodard tweeted. "Thank you to my news directors for such an amazing opportunity."
Woodard joined WBOC in June 2018 as a reporter.
This was just after graduating from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism of May the same year.
While at Columbia, the Florida native served as the president of the Association of Black Journalists. She also interned at NBC Universal, USA Today and Starfish Media Group.
Woodard graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. with a bachelor's degree in English.
As an undergrad, Woodard was a four year starter and captain on the Georgetown Women’s Basketball Team.
"I’m the new Evening Anchor at THV11 in Little Rock, Arkansas," Woodard tweeted. "I’ll anchor weekdays at 5,6, and 10! I’m so excited to tell meaningful stories in such a diverse community with so much history! I’ll be joining some brilliant colleagues too! Let’s do this!!!"
She joins the news team of Rolly Hoyt, Craig O’Neill and chief meteorologist Tom Brannon.
Woodard joined CBS 4 in 2022 from WBOC 16 Salisbury, Maryland where she had worked as the weekend anchor/reporter. She had been with WBOC since 2018.
The Georgetown University grad was a captain on the Georgetown Women’s Basketball Team.

THANK YOU! I can never thank you enough for all the love you’ve given me over the last few years.
I am no longer reporting with CBS 4 News. It has been an incredible ride and a piece of my heart will always be there, but it’s time for me to move up within the company.
I am blessed and beyond excited to announce I will be your new evening anchor on Local 23 News starting tomorrow, Monday, August 31st at 4:00 pm.
To my amazing viewers, I love you and I am forever grateful for the support and affection you’ve always shown me.
I am happy to say nothing will be changing here on my page and I will continue to post and report on the issues you want to see.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you! Los quiero!
The RGV native previously worked as a reporter for FOX 44 KWKT Waco - Temple - Killeen where she covered military and crime stories in the Fort Hood - Killeen area.
Hernández graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University – Kingsville and interned at KOB 4 News Albuquerque, NM.
She was raised in Mission, Texas and is a La Joya I.S.D. grad.
Now you might notice there have been a lot of KVEO stories on my blog over the last few months.
That's because KVEO owner Nexstar Media Group acquired Sinclair Broadcast Group’s KGBT as part of a lawsuit settlement. So I guess KGBT as a station doesn't really exist anymore as it is now on KVEO's channel 23.2. KVEO and staff moved into the former KGBT studios and now the two station's staff are under the same roof.
All these KVEO changes this summer must be a result of the merging of the stations.
"Goodbye! Tomorrow is my last day at KPRC 2," Lopardi posted yesterday. "I’m moving on to take another job (that’s not at a television station). Thank you for the memories made over the past two years!"
Before Houston, Lopardi worked for WFTV 9 Orlando, Florida.
Previously the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University grad worked as a:
- Reporter KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas, Nevada
- Video Journalist and Bureau Chief WBOC 16 Dover, Delaware
- News Producer WSYR 9 Syracuse, New York
- Assignments Editor WGRZ 2 Buffalo/Niagara, New York
It's time to see where TV folks in Houston and around Texas are getting new jobs!
Wendy Corona jets from WFAA to WSB
TVSpy reports that former KPRC anchor and WFAA freelancer, Wendy Corona, is moving to WSB as a weekend anchor. I hear she starts at the Atlanta station Monday the 28th. The site also reports meteorologist Mark Monstrola heads to KXAN Austin from WFMJ Youngstown, Ohio.

KPRC producer quits job, lives in trailer and now works at NBC 5 WMAQ
Lots of you found my KPRC producer quits job, lives in trailer post very inspirational and shared it around the web. Thank you. But we knew the money would run out sometime.
I had emailed former former KPRC producer and 1969 Shasta Travel Trailer driver, Tracy Hatfield, months ago but never heard back. So after forgetting about the story, I remembered it and wrote the post. After it was on the blog, Hatfield informed me she just got hired at NBC 5 WMAQ as the morning executive producer (called day part managers there). She joins fellow ex-KPRCer Daniella Guzman at the station.
KTRK staff new gigs
Former KTRK 13 and KHOU 11 lighting director Bruce Aleksander announced a new gig with The City of Houston's communication wing, HTV.

According to her LinkedIn account, Ayres interned with KTRK's creative services department in 2008. She then returned to the ABC O&O to intern in the news department in 2009. That was followed by internships at Boston's WHDH and the U.S. Department of State in Istanbul, Turkey.

Fox News to KTVT
Rick Gevers reports that Dallas-based Fox News Channel producer Maggie Kerkman is joining CBS 11 KTVT as the executive producer of special projects.
As psychic as people think I am - I do not always know when people move jobs in Houston and Texas media. So you have to let me know.

Cleo Greene announced that she is leaving her weekend morning anchor position with WFAA 8 Dallas - Fort Worth due to her job position going away. Based on what Greene said and the word on the street, the WFAA weekend morning newscast is also going away eventually.
Her last newscast will be on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Here is what Greene wrote on Instagram (watch her weekday WFAA Daybreak on-air goodbye video below):
"I want to be honest and transparent with you all. The future of local television news is changing. TEGNA (the company that owns channel 8 and many other stations across the country) is restructuring. Unfortunately, a decision was made to dissolve my position as the weekend morning anchor / reporter.
As you can imagine, I am heartbroken to say the least. This was my dream job! Seven years ... went by pretty fast.
It has been an honor to work with such a talented team and to share stories that matter — stories of people and organizations making a difference in our community. My hope is to continue that effort.
I'm also so thankful for the forever friendships that I’ve made in and outside of the newsroom.
I’m sad to turn this page, but I’m also really excited for what lies ahead and the new adventures that await. Call me crazy, but I still love this industry. Lol!
THANK YOU to everyone who has been rooting for me along the way. I believe God makes no mistakes, meaning every action is part of a divine plan. The BEST is yet to come!"
Weekend morning meteorologist Kyle Roberts also recently left WFAA.
Greene, a self-described military brat, joined WFAA in January 2018 from KSTP-TV 5 Eyewitness News in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area from February 2015 to January 2018 where she was a reporter.
Before that, she was a reporter at WBOC TV16 Salisbury, Maryland, from October 2011 to February 2015.
Earlier in her career, Greene was a WRDW News 12 / NBC 26 Augusta, Georgia, reporter from February 2011 to October 2011.
Greene landed her first broadcasting job as a feature reporter and anchor for PBS in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, from January 2009 to February 2011.
Here is a portion of what Woodard posted on Facebook when leaving Texas television news:
"To my CBS4 viewers….Let me start by saying I love and appreciate each and and every one of you. From the comments, to the emails, to the flowers and handwritten notes, to the random encounters in public, thank you for it all! You’ve given me such a good and memorable experience as your trusted news anchor. But like all good things, my time in the valley has come to an end. I’ll be relocating to continue my journey in the news industry!"
Cleo Greene announced she is joining NBC 5 KXAS Dallas - Fort Worth's lifestyle show Texas Today, which airs weekdays at 11:30am.
Here is what Greene posted on social:
"I have a BIG announcement! I’m the new host of @nbctexastoday.
I’ve been here for 2 weeks now and I AM LOVING IT. The Texas Today team is top notch and my cohost @adrianalopeztv has welcomed me with open arms.
Thank YOU. Cheers to a BIG new beginning, a much-needed detour from hard news and a chance to share new people, places and things that bring us together and bring us JOY. Xo
PLEASE TUNE IN FOR MY FIRST DAY ON AIR | MONDAY AT 11:30 A.M. ON NBC CHANNEL 5"
Greene will co-host Texas Today with Adriana Lopez and replace former host Kristin Dickerson, who left in December 2024.
Greene's new TV gig is going to please many of my Metroplex readers, who were very upset by her recent dismissal as WFAA anchor.
In January 2025, Greene announced she was exiting her weekend morning anchor role at WFAA 8 DFW as her position was being eliminated. Her final newscast aired on Saturday, February 1, 2025. According to what Greene said and industry chatter, the WFAA weekend morning newscast sounds like it is being phased out.
Weekend morning meteorologist Kyle Roberts recently departed from WFAA as well.
A self-described military brat, Greene joined WFAA in January 2018 after working as a KSTP-TV 5 Eyewitness News reporter in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area from February 2015 to January 2018.
Before that, she was a reporter at WBOC TV16 in Salisbury, Maryland, from October 2011 to February 2015. Earlier in her career, she reported for WRDW News 12 / NBC 26 in Augusta, Georgia, from February 2011 to October 2011.
Greene’s broadcasting journey began in January 2009 as a feature reporter and anchor for PBS in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
