Kimberly Davis announced she is leaving her KHOU 11 Houston morning anchor position as of June 14, 2024.
"So long for now, and thank you so much, join me tomorrow morning as I bid a final farewell to my talented colleagues at KHOU," Davis posted on social media. "I hope you will join me for one last morning wake up call."
I'm surprised to see Davis leaving KHOU since her TV agent announced in December 2023 that she renewed her contract with the TEGNA Houston station. We'll have to see what her next move is.
Davis got engaged in October 2022 and married her husband Joey Contreras in September 2023.
In June 2021, Davis joined KHOU 11 as an #HTownRush morning anchor. The #HTownRush morning newscast name was changed to KHOU 11 Morning News in January 2022.
Davis arrived in Houston after working for CBS-owned station KYW Philadelphia as a fill-in anchor/evening reporter since 2018.
The two-time Emmy Award-winning journalist is a graduate of Rowan University and previously worked as:
- A reporter for WTVF Nashville, Tennessee
- Morning anchor FOX47 KXLT Rochester, Minnesota
- Morning reporter KTTC Rochester, Minnesota
