Rosemary Montanez has moved from weekend evenings to the AM shift on Good Morning El Paso with co-anchor Hillary Floren.
Montanez's weekend co-anchor Samuel Harasimowicz is leaving Texas to join WCPO 9 News Cincinnati, Ohio.
So, who anchors weekend evenings? Enter weekend morning anchor Brianna Perez, who will be moving to the weekend PM shift.
Montanez, an El Paso native, started anchoring weekends in 2022. She graduated from New Mexico State University in June 2021 and joined KVIA as a multimedia journalist.
Harasimowicz joined the PM weekend desk in early 2023 when Dylan McKim left for KXAN Austin. Before that, he was a weekend morning anchor with Perez. He started with KVIA in June 2012 as a Good Morning El Paso producer after graduating from Syracuse University. In March 2021, Harasimowicz got some media buzz for his reaction to a Ginger Zee Cameo video.
Perez graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso and joined the ABC-7 team as a reporter in 2021.
