Marvin Hurst, who left KENS 5 San Antonio in late 2023, has resurfaced as a CBS News Texas KTVT reporter in Dallas - Fort Worth.
While I could not find any mention of Hurst joining the CBS-owned and operated station, he is definitely filing reports on-air.
The former KENS morning anchor/reporter moved to the Metroplex to be with his wife Felicia, whom he married in August 2022.
Hurst's tenure at KENS 5 started in December 2004 as a morning reporter and eventually transitioned to anchoring the 4:30am newscast in May 2022. In addition to his regular reporting duties, Hurst also produced two segments for the station "Neighborhood Eats" and "Together We Rise."
Before joining KENS 5, the Grambling State University grad held the position of Communications Director in the Office of Youth Development for the State of Louisiana.
The Lone Star EMMY award-winning journalist's career in broadcast journalism began before that, with roles at various television stations, including:
- Freelance Reporter WGNO ABC26 New Orleans, Louisiana
- Reporter WBRZ 2 Baton Rouge, Louisiana
- Reporter KALB 5 Alexandria, Louisiana
