Leigha McNeil is joining WWL 4 New Orleans as a morning reporter after KXXV 25 Waco/Temple/Killeen where she was weekend anchor.
Here is what McNeil, who was born and raised in New Orleans, tweeted ahead of her August 28, 2022 KXXV Central Texas departure.
"My time as a Texan is coming to an end," McNeil tweeted. "The people of CTX will always have a piece of my heart. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms and trusting me to tell your stories."
McNeil joined KXXV in August 2020 as a Killeen, TX bureau reporter.
She started her TV career with News15 KADN/KLAF Lafayette, LA as an assistant news producer, moving up to multi-media journalist (MMJ) and weekend anchor.
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette grad interned with Cumulus Media.
