The young sons of Keli Rabon, who previously worked as a Houston TV investigative reporter for ABC13 KTRK and later KHOU 11, were at Camp La Junta in Hunt, Texas, and managed to evacuate the horrific July Fourth flooding.
Brock and Braeden Davis had just arrived at the Central Texas camp days before the flash flood's waters.
"We jumped up to another bed, a top bunk and like our beds started tipping over, and we got to the top really quick and then, one of the walls fell down," Brock told KHOU reporter Troy Kless.
"The Guadalupe River rose from 7ft to 26ft in just 45 minutes in the wee hours of July 4th, and since La Junta is right on the river, before they knew it, camp was quite literally flooded," Rabon posted on Instagram.
