Chelsey Khan, who Houston/San Antonio/Victoria TV audiences know as her pre-married name of Chelsey Hernandez, is back on Texas television at CBS Austin KEYE's "We are Austin" show.
Here is what Khan wrote on Facebook:
"I’m so excited to share I’m the new host of 'We Are Austin' on CBSAustin!
This is an opportunity that presented its self at the exact right moment. I’m in awe at how all the puzzle pieces just fell into place and I thank God for paving this way for me.
Now, not only am I living out my dream job of hosting, but I’m doing it in my hometown!! (For those who are new to this page I grew up in Pflugerville a suburb of Austin before moving to Victoria, TX for High School.)
Everyone on this team is truly magical + creative + passionate. I’m thrilled to work with such talented people.
You can catch me LIVE M-F at 9am on CBSAustin and I’ll make sure to share the streaming link with you all! My first show is THIS Friday!

It appears Khan will be joining "We Are Austin" host Trevor Scott. Khan will apparently replace Taylor Ellison who left the lifestyle show in July 2022.
Most recently, Khan was the host of WAVY 10 Norfolk, Virginia's "The Hampton Roads Show."
Khan left behind her home state of Texas in 2021 when she left abc13 KTRK Houston where she was the station's "Stretch Your Dollar" reporter.
Before that, the The University of Texas at San Antonio grad was a KENS 5 San Antonio traffic anchor and a 25 KAVU Victoria morning anchor/producer.
