Chelsey Hernandez (now going by married name of Chelsey Khan) is heading to Norfolk, Virginia to host lifestyle themed "The Hampton Roads Show" which airs weekdays at 11am on WAVY 10 and 1pm on FOX43 WVBT.
The former abc13 KTRK "Stretch Your Dollar" consumer reporter took to Instagram to let us know:
"Goodbye Houston, goodbye Texas! This pandemic has shown me that life is way too short and too precious to not be living out your dreams every single day!
My husband and I always knew we wanted to leave Texas, a state we have both called home since the day we were born, and the East Coast has always had a special place in our hearts. Now, we will literally be 20 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean living in Virginia Beach. Not only do we get to live out this bucket list adventure, but I’m also getting the opportunity to live out my career dream of hosting a daily talk show...The Hampton Roads! (@hrswavy) local to the area.
Y’all…I’m getting my own one-hour daily show! (My smile is ear-to-ear just typing that!) GOD IS SO GOOD!!! I remember interning for a lifestyle show in San Antonio and I recall Kimberly Crawford taking me under her wing and telling me that I have the 'spark and talents to take my career as far as I wanted.'"
Well there goes another one!
I have been blogging about Hernandez's career all the way back to when she left 25 News Now KAVU in Victoria for the KENS 5 San Antonio traffic department.
Then Hernandez joined channel 13 in Houston where she broadcasted from 2018 to earlier in 2021 when she left.
We were there for her big life events like when she was in a movie and even getting married.
