Chase Shannon announced on Twitter he is leaving his New 4 San Antonio WOAI and FOX 29 KABB sports anchor/reporter position.
"After 11 years in TV, I’ve taken a job outside of the biz," Shannon tweeted. "Excited to share more soon. In the meantime, we’re headed to Oxnard Sunday where I’ll spend my last week covering Cowboys camp. Love this news team!"
Shannon joined WOAI/KABB San Antonio in August 2018 from KAKE Wichita, Kansas where he was sports director.
Prior to that he worked as a weekend sports anchor/reporter for FOX16 KLRT Little Rock, Arkansas.
The Oklahoma State University grad started his career with KTEN 10 Denison where he was a sports reporter/weekend sports anchor and then promoted to sports director.
