If you've read my blog over the years, you know former KPRC 2 anchor Sara Donchey has been in the middle of the Hawaii 'missile strike' warning and now she has been live on the air during an LA earthquake.
Friday night, Donchey was anchoring on KCAL9 with Juan Fernandez when the 7.1 earthquake hit more than a hundred miles away from Los Angeles.
Donchey grabbed Fernandez's hand and said, "We’re experiencing very strong shaking. I think we need to get under the desk Juan.”
As Donchey started to duck for cover, the station cut to commercial.
She later tweeted:
My heart goes out to everyone in #Ridgecrest who are surely shaken after that massive 7.1 #earthquake. As a parent, the first thing I thought of was my infant son at home with my family and I was praying he was safe and comforted. Thoughts go out to all in Kern County right now.

In 2015, Donchey joined channel 2 in Houston from KRIS Corpus Christi as a 4pm anchor. At the beginning of this year, Donchey joined KCBS 2 and KCAL 9 in LA as an anchor.
