CBS12 News WPEC, West Palm Beach, Florida night side reporter Vincent Crivelli is joining KPRC 2 as a morning news reporter according to his Facebook page.
Now don't mess with Crivelli if you see him out covering the story. This member of the Florida National Guard thwarted a robbery attempt in 2015 at a grocery store parking lot and held the suspect in a headlock for ten minutes until police arrived.
According to the coverage in AL.com, Crivelli even managed to promote his then television station while waiting for the officers. A creative services managers dream:
While Crivelli was holding Grey someone recognized him asked him if he was on television.
"Yeah, Channel 48 News, we investigate," Crivelli said in reply.
Crivelli said he does not think he deserves any recognition.
"At the end of the day, I think that I did what any man should have" Crivelli said. "While maybe the majority of the population doesn't have that same mindset, that doesn't mean I did anything great. I just did what I should have done."
Humble too. He'll fit in well at channel 2 which is known for tough reporters. Yesterday, I just posted how Phil Archer was stabbed while covering a riot in the 70s.
Crivelli has been covering the news at WPEC since 2016 including President Trump's trips to his Mar-a-Lago Club.
Before Florida, Crivelli worked as a Multi-Media Journalist from 2014 to 2016 at WAFF, Huntsville, Alabama.
The San Fancisco Bay Area native started his career in the Lone Star State at KMID Big 2 News Midland back in 2013. He started as a production assistant and eventually worked his way up to a Reporter and Fill-In Anchor.
Crivelli is a 2010 graduate of California State University Sacramento. While majoring in Criminal Justice, he also earned an Associates degree in Social Sciences.
While I was going through Crivelli former station's website, look who I found at WPEC...former KPRC 2 reporter Jim Grimes is a CBS12 News main anchor. Grimes was at channel 2 in the late 1990s if memory serves.
