A blog commenter of mine reminded me that fairly new KHOU 11 reporter Melissa Correa is a former reality TV star!

It seems just like yesterday, in 2007, I was watching Making News: Texas Style on the TV Guide Network. The show was filmed at KOSA, the Midland/Odessa CBS affiliate. It had a sub-plot about the war between KOSA and number one rival KWES 9.
We meet reporter/fill-in anchor Correa in the first episode as she is forced to do what she feels is an embarrassing sweeps story.
Some of the folks featured on the show are still working in Midland/Odessa. Reporter Kara Lee, who interned at KTRK abc13 prior to working at KOSA, is now an anchor at FOX 19 WXIX Cincinnati.
It's amazing to me how many time producers launch shows about TV News and they don't seem to last. The public must not want to see behind the scenes of TV news. Something to think about for TV types when posting to social media.
