Finger's Furniture shuts down at Sharpstown Mall

We heard a few weeks ago that Macy's was pulling out of Sharpstown Mall. Now we learn that Finger's furniture is also saying goodbye to Sharpstown Mall too:

After nearly 40 years of operation in Sharpstown Mall, Finger Furniture Co. is closing its doors.

The Houston-based furniture retailer, which was one of the struggling mall's original retailers, is holding a liquidation sale and will close its doors within the next two months.

Are we seeing a trend here? The last of Sharpstown Mall's big stores are leaving. Is the mall going the way of Westwood Mall and Town and Country? I also heard Northline Mall is being torn down as I write this. It's the end of an era.
