Who knew we could call the Chronicle's Ken Hoffman a professor? The paper's Mike McDaniel has the details:

Ken Hoffman, noted dog fancier, will be going to back to school this fall, teaching "The Evolution of the TV Sitcom" at Rice University's Glasscock School of Continuing Studies. (In a previous life, the Chronicle humor columnist once covered the dreaded TV beat for a living.)
