Mark Kriski strolled onto the KTLA 5 Los Angeles Morning News like a boss this week after suffering from a stroke in May.
āOn Memorial Day weekend I had a stroke. Everything was pretty well and fine, but all of the sudden at one oāclock in the morning I had this massive, massive headache. I donāt get headaches, I donāt get migraines. It was from front to back,ā Kriski explained live on KTLA. āI stood up to go to the bathroom to get aspirin or something, I went down like a ton of bricks. I stood up holding the bed and I couldnāt stand, I was falling to the right. They say with a stroke, itās all within the first six months. Whatever you regain within the first six months, thatās pretty much it. You will get a little better, but the first three months thatās what Dr. Jandial told me. He said āMove and when it starts hurting move more.'"
Kriski's appearance happened during Dayna Devonās Entertainment Report and the longtime morning meteorologist revealed heās head back to work, although no return date has been determined.
Kriski has been a fixture at Channel 5 since 1991.
