Jake Reiner, a former KPRC 2 Houston reporter and son of actor/director Rob Reiner, used what he learned from his TV days and wrote/acted in Cracked's "Honest Ads" series episode of "If The News Were Honest."
Reiner plays field reporter Edward Barnes.
The one time I met Reiner, I told him he needed to do a TV news version of his dad's iconic mockumentary "This is Spinal Tap." Well, this Cracked video is close to that. And by the way, Spinal Tap's sequel was just announced!
In the meantime, I'm turning Reiner's news satire up to 11!
Since Reiner left KPRC and Houston in 2018, Reiner has worked for Chuancy Glover's new station CBS Los Angeles 2 KCBS, but appears to now be mostly acting.
