Don Harris is known as the News 4 San Antonio WOAI sports director, but when duty calls, he will be the station's utility player.
Last Sunday at 5pm, Harris was recruited to anchor the news.
"Pressed into emergency back-up duty [Randy Beamer] once got/had to do the weather," Harris tweeted. "Today after 34 years, I finally got/had to anchor the entire newscast. Don't worry, the real pros will be back after Sunday Night Football tonight. But for the record. It was fun."
Weekend anchor Darian Trotter posted he is in Mexico on vacation.
The switching up of Texas TV duties also happened in Austin.
