Julissa Garza is returning home to KHOU 11 from her multi-skilled journalist role with TEGNA sister station THV11 KTHV Little Rock, Arkansas.
Garza has moved up through the TEGNA chain very fast!
She joined KHTV in September 2022.
Before that, Garza started her professional television journey with TEGNA's KIII 3 News Corpus Christi as an MSJ in March 2020.
The Sam Houston State University grad interned with KPRC 2. She also worked for the school's Cable 7 newscast.
Garza is not the only native Houstonians recently hired at channel 11.
KHOU just brought reporter Katiera Winfrey and meteorologist Chris Ramirez back to their hometown too!
