"I’m so grateful to work with some of the best in the business here at KVUE," Williams tweeted. "The past few years here in Austin have been amazing, and I can’t wait for many more!"
Williams moved to KVUE Daybreak weekday morning newscast from weekend evenings in March 2022.
"What makes Hunter special is his work ethic," KVUE News Director Christina Ginn said on the station's website. "He’s the first person in and the last person off when severe weather hits. Hunter has seen how weather can impact Central Texans in an instant. He’s constantly looking ahead with the forecast because he understands how important it is to keep everyone informed, down to the second."
He joined KVUE in January 2020 from WMAZ Macon, which is a TEGNA sister-station.
The Penn State University grad got his TV start at WVUA 23 Tuscaloosa, Alabama as a Weekend/Fill-In Weather Anchor.
Happy Tuesday! Quick announcement…I’m very excited to let y’all know that I am now Chief Meteorologist here at KVUE!
