Sarah Alegre has left FOX 51 KFXK / KETK Tyler, TX where she was an evening co-anchor to become a San Diego TV reporter.
"I’m incredibly humbled by my time in East Texas," Alegre tweeted. "These past two years were full of challenges, opportunities, and growth. I can’t thank the genuine people here enough for their grace and support."
Now, if I were a betting man, my guess, based on her re-tweets and social interactions, Alegre's new reporting job is with FOX 5 San Diego KSWB. KSWB is the Nexstar Media Group sister-station to KETK/KFXK.
Stay tuned to see if I'm right. UPDATE: Yep, I called it! Alegre did join Fox 5 San Diego.
The Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California grad joined the East Texas Nexstar Media Group stations in July 2020 as a morning reporter. She was quickly promoted to KETK weekend anchor.
From there, Alegre was promoted to KETK Today morning anchor and Fox 51 Good Day KFXK in June 2021.
By August 2021, she was the weeknight evening anchor for FOX 51.
