Sarah Al-Shaikh joined KXAN Austin as a Hays County, TX reporter in July 2022.
Al-Shaikh arrived from WLNS 6 Lansing, Michigan where she was a news anchor and reporter.
Originally from Houston, Al-Shaikh graduated from St. Edward’s University in Austin with a master's degree from Syracuse University.
While earning her master's degree, Al-Shaikh was a Nexstar Media Group news associate at WJET/WFXP Erie, Pennsylvania and WIVB/WNLO Buffalo, New York. WLNS and KXAN are both owned by Nexstar so she remained with the company.
