HOUSTON – (Aug 9, 2022) – Cox Media Group announced today that Dean Myers and Roger Beaty, popular morning DJs known as Dean and Rog for Houston's Eagle here, will be inducted into the class of 2022 Texas Radio Hall of Fame on November 5 in Kilgore, Texas.
“Dean and Rog have been entertaining Houstonians on their commutes for 25 years,” said Keith Lawless, Regional VP and General Manager for CMG Radio. “We couldn’t be prouder of them for this prestigious recognition – they more than earned it.”
“I love these guys for a lot of reasons, but most for their edgy approach to making mornings a little better,” said Travis Moon, Director of Operations for Houston's Eagle.
The voting members of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame (TRHOF) have selected 20 broadcast professionals for its 2022 Induction Class, presented here in alphabetical order.
Debbie Alcocer, Roger Allen, Joe “The Godfather” Anthony (Yanuzzi), Roula Christie, James “Moby” Carney, Dean and Rog/Dean Myers and Roger Beaty, Bob Ford, Harmon and Evans, Lisle and Hahn/John Lisle and Steve Hahn, “Uncle Funky” Larry Jones, Pam Kelly, Laurie Kendrick, Pam McKay, Joe Pogge, Kellie Raspberry, Bill Schoening, Hannah Storm, Maria Todd, John Trapane, Dana Tyson.
Final voting concluded on Sunday, July 31, and the 20 individuals will be honored on Saturday, November 5 at the TRHOF’s Annual Induction Ceremony at the Texas Museum of Broadcasting and Communications in Kilgore.
