Star Harvey leaves CW39 Houston

Star Harvey announced she is leaving the CW39 Houston KIAH weather department on April 8, 2022.

UPDATE
Star Harvey joins PIX11 News WPIX New York

She is heading off to a new station, but will not say which one as of yet.  If I had to guess, I bet it is a Nexstar Media Group station.  If you have any info, hit me up

Here is what Harvey posted on Instagram:

"H-TOWN.. it’s been real!!

Thank you for welcoming me into your homes and trusting me to guide you through the highs and lows of weather.

It’s been a blessing to get on live tv and help maneuver ya’ll through the severe weather we get here in southeast Texas but also those blue sky days.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to experience the overwhelming love and support from the community while doing what I love most.

Y’all truly made me feel like the BeyoncĂ© of weather!! I can’t wait to share what’s next for Bryce and I!"

The "NO WAIT WEATHER+TRAFFIC" morning meteorologist and lifestyle show "Houston Happens" co-host, joined CW39 in early 2021.

Harvey previously worked for Nexstar Media Group sister-station KREX News 5 News Grand Junction, CO.

Before KREX 5, Harvey was a news assistant for abc7 KABC Los Angeles.

The California State University, Northridge grad also worked as a newsroom editor/anchor for the university owned 88.5 KCSN.
