Star Harvey is joining CW39 KIAH from KREX5 News Grand Junction, CO where she was a weekend weather anchor and multi-media journalist (MMJ).

Star Harvey leaves CW39 Houston
"There’s more than 200 news markets in the US and NY is #1, LA is #2, and Chicago is #3, etc," Harvey posted on Instagram. "Usually but not always, us news people start in lower markets and work our way up. My first weather job in Grand Junction, Colorado is #187. I’m moving to my second job in Houston, Texas which is #8. My plans never included making such a BIG jump so fast."

Over the past few months, Harvey has been doing live talkbacks with CW39 from KREX5. Both stations are owned by Nexstar Media Group.
As she noted on Instagram, the Los Angeles, California native is moving up the TV market path back to her hometown very fast.
In fact, before KREX, Harvey worked for abc13 KTRK sister-station abc7 KABC as a news assistant.
While in college, the California State University, Northridge grad has also worked as a newsroom editor/anchor for 88.5 KCSN in Northridge, CA.
