Tracy Clemons, who has been with FOX8 WGHP in Greensboro/High Point/Winston-Salem since June 2018, announced he is returning to Houston.
UPDATE MARCH 2022
Tracy Clemons joins Texas Southern University
Here is what Clemons tweeted:
"My time at @myfox8 is coming to a close.
I'm leaving the anchor desk, and the news business for a really great opportunity back in Houston.
I'll be able to share more soon. My last day is March 11."
Houston television news viewers will recognize Clemons from his time at abc13 KTRK where he was a multi-media journalist (MMJ)/fill-in in anchor from 2014 to 2017.
In between KTRK and WGHP, Clemons left the news biz to work as a press secretary with HISD.
Before joining Houston's channel 13, Clemons was an MMJ with KSDK 5 St. Louis, Missouri.
Prior to that, he was a reporter/anchor with KSLA 12 Shreveport, Louisiana.
Clemons got his broadcast news start with WVIR Charlottesville, Virginia. At least that is my assumption since Clemons's older bios stay he got his start with the Charlottesville NBC affiliate.
Taking a break from the craziness to share some personal news. My time at @myfox8 is coming to a close. I'm leaving the anchor desk, and the news business for a really great opportunity back in Houston. I'll be able to share more soon. My last day is March 11. pic.twitter.com/jrWZW9OMsO
