Jacob Rascon is leaving KPRC 2 according to his weekend co-anchor Sofia Ojeda.

Here is what Ojeda tweeted.
"[Jacob Rason] is moving on from #kprc2 and we will miss him...but for Jacob, like so many of the good ones who come into your life in this #crazy #business, is not goodbye… it’s see ya later #friend. Good luck I know you’ll be #great."
Rascon's departure from channel 2 has been rumored for months.
Now here is the next rumor...is Jacob Rason joining his father, anchor Art Rascon, at abc13 KTRK? Could Jacob one day take over for Art? One Rascon replacing another Rascon? Has this ever been done at a TV station?

New KPRC 2 hire Sabirah Rayford will take over Rascon's anchor role on weekend mornings with Ojeda and the multi-talented Khambrel Marshall.
