Lindsey Henry

Lindsey Henry is joining KPRC 2 as a temporary reporter starting Monday sources tell mikemcguff.com.

A familiar face to Houston TV news viewers, in 2019, after almost three years on the job, Henry announced she was leaving FOX 26 KRIV.

"Does this mean I’m out of the industry for good," Henry wrote on my blog to let viewers know about her Houston TV news sabbatical. "No, it doesn’t! For now, I can promise you I have lots of things I plan on writing about and have a goal of publishing my first book in the next year. We also have several other goals of stepping foot on every continent and seeing all the great wonders of the world."

Henry, and now husband, Curt Freeman, ended up travelling to 16 countries together in her time off.

Before returning to her hometown to work at channel 26, Henry reported for Nexstar Fresno combo station KSEE24 and CBS47 KGPE.

The Cinco Ranch High School grad also held television news positions at:

KMIZ ABC 17 News Jefferson City, Mo

Reporter/MMJ at KY3 KYTV Springfield, Missouri

Weekend Anchor/Reporter at KOAM Joplin, Missouri Area

Freeman has a Mass Communications Broadcast Productions degree from Sam Houston State University.

She interned at KXAN Austin and worked as a production assistant for KIII Corpus Christi during her college years.
