Jonathan Cotto joins KSAT 12 San Antonio as a weekend reporter from FOX South Texas KFXV and Univision KNVO in McAllen.
Cotto was in the South Texas region for almost two years at the Entravision Communications owned stations where he served as a bilingual multi-media journalist (MMJ) and anchor.
The California State University-Los Angeles graduate also served in the United States Navy.
"I served 8 proud years in the world’s finest Navy," Cotto told KSAT's website. "As a second class petty officer, I served on the USS Theodore Roosevelt in the weapons department. I’m a proud Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom veteran."
In 2020, Cotto, along with KNVO photographer/editor Julio Cesar Davila, won a Lone Star EMMY in the Education/Schools - No time Limit category for a story titled "Solo En El Sur De Texas."
Oh...and since he is in Texas now, he loves Whataburger.
"I typically, well basically always, order a number two, all the way, toasted bun," he told his new San Antonio television station.
