KVII Amarillo Investigative Reporter/Anchor Niccole Caan said goodbye at the end of May to her Panhandle viewers.

Now a KENS 5 representative confirms to mikemcguff.com that Caan is joing the San Antonio TEGNA station as its consumer investigative reporter.
"I so appreciated everyone in the Panhandle welcoming me to Texas," Caan wrote on Facebook. "I have had the most amazing experience. Thank you for your support as I began my investigative career. Thanks for suffering my penetrating, difficult, a lot of times uncomfortable questions I had to ask some of you. It allowed me to find my passion."
Before KVII, Caan moved between television news and media relations, but for the sake of this blog, I will focus on the broadcast jobs.
Prior to her return to TV news in Amarillo, Caan worked as:
- A traffic reporter for WRTV Indianapolis
- Anchor/reporter for WLFI Lafayette, Indiana
- Reporter/Fill-in anchor for WANE Fort Wayne, Indiana
- News reporter/producer Lakeshore Public Television
- News reporter WCJL Savannah, Georgia
On an interesting note you do not see in many TV reporter bios, Caan taught English in Japan between her first two TV jobs.
Caan has a BS and Masters from the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism.
A KENS 5 representative says she starts at the station today, but no on-air debut date has been announced.
