Telemundo 52 Los Angeles KVEA announces Tania Leal will serve as weekend weather anchor and will report about weather-related events during Telemundo 52’s weekday news. She will make her first on-air appearance on June 6. Leal joins Telemundo 52 from sister-station Telemundo 40 Rio Grande Valley / KTLM, where she worked as the weather anchor for the station’s weekday newscasts. Before this, Leal worked for Televisa Noreste. Leal earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and has an associate’s degree in Law from the University of Brownsville in Texas. In addition Leal is expected to receive her degree in Meteorology in August of 2019.

KTLM Harlingen-Weslaco-Brownsville-McAllen named Jasmina González a video journalist for Noticias Telemundo 40.

Brandon Ortega becomes the new sportscaster at KOB, in Albuquerque. He previously was a weekend sports anchor and reporter at KRGV in Harlingen, Texas.
