Jason Miles |
I got word that reporter/anchor Jason Miles has joined the KHOU 11 news team.
He comes from a decade plus of work at WMC in Memphis, TN where the award winning reporter certainly broke and made news.
Miles is a favorite of the Memphis Flyer which featured his creative stand ups. The newspaper's Chris Davis liked posting images of Miles in different situations like under a car, coming through a doggie door or on a birthday cake (don't worry Jason, that attention will stop in Houston since you will probably have much less time to do stuff like that).
A 2013 arrest involving an alleged verbal altercation with police also got Miles some extra media attention. As a result, a Facebook page named Free Jason Miles was created.
Prior to Memphis, Miles worked as a reporter/weekend anchor at WHNT Huntsville, AL, a reporter at WRBL Columbus, GA and reporter/anchor for WGST AM/FM in Atlanta.
In his bio, Miles says Dan Rather is a news mentor, "And not just because he worked for KHOU."
And to cap it all off, Miles also has a blog on the same platform as mine, so make sure to go check it out.
