Pablo Alsina |
Alsina will be seen on-air beginning in mid-August, and will anchor weekday sports and KHOU 11 Sports Extra.
In his career, Alsina has covered a wide range of high-profile sports events – from MLB and two World Series to college football, international soccer and Ultimate Fighting Championships.
“Pablo connects with people—the athletes he’s covering and the audiences watching him. He clearly loves that human connection just as much as he loves sports. He has fun—and it shows,” said KHOU 11 Executive News Director Philip Bruce. “Plus, he can’t wait to start covering all the big-time sports in Houston.”
Alsina comes to Houston from Los Angeles, where he has worked as a bilingual anchor for Fox Deportes and other national and regional cable sports networks.
He has also been seen on the airwaves in a different capacity, with 20 national commercials and a stint on ABC’s General Hospital to his credit.
Alsina is a graduate of the University of Florida.
