The Daily Buzz grabs Morgahn Miller from KIAH 39 NewsFix
KIAH 39 NewsFix News Content Coordinator Morgahn Miller jumps from behind the scenes to on air for nationally syndicated The Daily Buzz. I've covered some big TV market jumps here before, but this one might beat them all.
Miller is the social media producer for the show. She says the show really does listen to the audience.
"I give viewers a heads up on whats going on online (youtube, yahoo, twitter, facebook, etc)," Miller told mikemcguff.com. "I'm the liason between viewers and the show to make sure there voices are heard."
And being all about social media, soon Miller will also host an online show called Morgahn In The Morning that will highlight web trends.
"I was told I had to work in Podunk, USA for a year before being able to succeed on camera," Miller told me. "I didn't listen. Now I'm on a national morning television show. Make your own rules"
Miller is not the only former Houston TV staffer who now works at Orlando, Florida based The Daily Buzz. Former 39 KIAH news director KyAnn Lewis and KPRC 2 promotions producer JL Watkins are also with the show.
And we can't forget the other former Houstonian (Kingwood resident too) Lisa Spooner. Spooner joined TDB from FOX 4 WFTX Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Naples. You might recognize Spooner as Miss Texas 2002 in the Miss America Pageant.
You can watch The Daily Buzz in Houston on KUBE 57 from 6 to 7am. To see other city listings, click here.
