Remember when KNWS 51 Houston signed on the air and was an all news format? This was back in the 1990s. That's why the station had those awesome news sounding call letters!
Shout out to my main man and KNWS anchor Steve Ottesen. Ottesen is still in the Houston TV biz. After Channel 51 he worked at the Baylor College of Medicine for a while but now works at KIAH 39.
