But Dwight is to "The Office" what Frasier once was to "Cheers," so the idea isn’t that preposterous.
Friedman points out that Ben Silverman, the new guy running NBC's programming is also the dude who brought The Office to the network from the UK. He needs to fix the networks sagging rating quickly, so why not grab someone from the hit show and spin them off?
Would this ruin The Office though?
Perhaps the show could feature clips of a young Dwight Schrute. Like this one?
