Rock and roll in picture right here in Houston

This weekend the wife and I headed to the Contemporary Arts Museum to see the
"Perspectives 149: It's Only Rock 'n' Roll" "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll" exhibit. I highly recommend it if you are a fan of that genre. There are some great classic pictures you won't want to miss.

Some of my favorites are the Keith Richards "Patience Please a Drug Free America Comes First...", the Beatles in a pillow fight and a young Prince with a giant afro.

Here is more from the CAMH website:
Featuring musicians from the early 1950s to the present, the exhibition includes portraits and candid shots of such artists as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Sonny and Cher, The Velvet Underground, The Sex Pistols, Nirvana, and Cat Power by a variety of well-known documentary photographers including John Marshall, Barry Feinstein, Kate Simon, Lee Friedlander, David Bailey, and Richard Avedon.

Hurry, the exhibit only lasts through Jan 22nd. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
