Howard Stern's first day reviews from several sources

In case you were hidden under a rock, you know today was Howard Stern's first real show on Sirius satellite radio. I have XM so I missed the debut. But there is plenty of coverage on it with some other news you might not know.

The Associated Press said that Stern cleared up the rumors about his "marriage" to girlfriend Beth Ostrosky:
"I am not married. It's a nice feeling that we get along great. We're very happy and I don't want to (blank) it up," said Stern, who is finally free of government decency laws on Sirius Satellite Radio Inc.
Jeff Jarvis pointed out that Star Trek's Mr. Sulu, George Takei, is now an announcer. Of course if you know the show, then you know how much they make fun of Takei. The soundboard prank phone call is hilarious.
The best sports in all show business, George Takei, is in the studio as announcer with is most melifluous voice and with the revelation that he lost his virginity at Boy Scout camp.
Jarvis also talked about technical glitches and how Howard tried to call David Lee Roth.

MediaWeek reported Stern's first show was commercial free, that won't be the case on the second day and from now on. As expected, the ad rates won't be as high as on FM radio:
Howard Stern's first day on Sirius Satellite Radio was commercial-free. But tomorrow (Tuesday), the shock jock announced the show would be airing six minutes of advertising per hour from advertisers such as the Vermont Teddy Bear Company, Heineken and some online gambling Web sites.
And don't miss the reviews about Howard's replacements (David Lee Roth, Adam Corrola...etc) from last week. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
