Here's a story we did that talks about how an insurance inquiry to your company could end up costing you in the future. It happened to a Katy couple.
For example, you have a pipe burst, you call your insurance company to tell them about it but decide not to file a claim. Years later you switch to a new company and they count that inquiry as a claim. Ouch! Time to get a C.L.U.E.
A law just passed in September to stop this so if this happens to you, contact the Texas Department of Insurance.
