Eden Checkol is joining FOX 4 KDFW Dallas-Fort Worth as a 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. news anchor, taking over for Hanna Battah.
And speaking of Battah, morning anchor Paige Ellenberger was just named as her successor on The Ten with Steve Noviello.
Back to Checkol, who comes from WSFL 39 Miami, where she co-anchored the 10 p.m. weeknight newscast and reported for Local 10 News WPLG since 2021.
Before WPLG, she anchored the weekday morning and midday newscasts at WISN 12 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She also served as a morning reporter and fill-in anchor at Channel 3000 WISC, Madison, Wisconsin.
Checkol's journalism journey began in Duluth, Minnesota, where she worked as a multimedia journalist/fill-in anchor for KBJR.
The University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN, graduate interned with KSTP-TV Channel 5, Minneapolis-St. Paul Area, WCCO CBS Minnesota, and NWCT Channel 12, Brooklyn Park, MN.
Houston television viewers might recognize Checkol's husband, DFW NewsNation correspondent Xavier Walton, who previously worked as a morning anchor for KHOU 11 in Houston.
